-The coldest months of the year are here, but to make you forget all small worries of the winter, the Petit Tonneau offers you many good things which will warm up your heart.
-For saint Valentin, our thought goes first to the lovers who we invite to come to celebrate their holiday February 14th around a good meal and in a warm-hearted and convivial ambience. Be numerous this year still to come to declare or to maintain your flame in the Petit Tonneau.
-From February 23rd till March 7th, and to add some sunrays, nothing better than a good Pancake gilded to celebrate Candlemas.
-On Wednesday, March 31st and to continue our Tour de France of regional gastronomy, dinne with a traditional Sauerkraut will drive you right in the center of tastes of Alsace.
-It is on Saturday, April 3rd when Le Petit Tonneaul golf tournament will take place consequently famous and inevitable “ ”. Very good opportunity to measure has other lovers of golf and outdoor games in a place of dream close to Tokyo. This special edition will be sponsored by the famous name of champagne Laurent Perrier.

CANDLEMAS.
Candlemas it’s the day of pancakes. They say that pancake, by their round and gold form, reminds of the solar disc, recalling the return of the dark and cold spring afterwards winter. There is even whole symbolism linked to the ready-to-wear clothes of pancakes at present. It is so recommended to blow up the pancakes of the right hand by holding a golden coin in the left hand to get prosperity during all year. It’s another period of the year when the Frenchmen find another excuse to eat more than they should normally do. Good holiday season!
The warm weather is becoming a distant memory. Nevertheless, the rapidly approaching winter holiday season promises even greater memories to come. Will we be lucky and have a snowy, white Christmas?

The entire Petit Tonneau Team sincerely hopes you have a wonderful holiday season and wishes you a smooth transition into the new year --- may this new year be full of peace, health and joy for all.

As regards more Petit Tonneau news, stop by and say "adieu" to the year 2009. What better way to begin a brand new year and an entirely new fresh start than to dine with friends and family in a convivial environment on scrumptious food and succulent French wine whist in superb company?As of December 15, 2009, together with our traditional and à la carte menus, we've also made available to you a "Christmas Special" dinner. Please come and give it a try!
If you're planning on spending the Year's holiday at home, our very own Chef Philippe Batton will prepare a delicious OSECHI RYORI for you to enjoy during the short five day closing period of all three Le Petit Tonneau restaurants (e.g. December 31, 2009 – January 4, 2020 --- see below for details).

Le Petit Tonneau restaurants located at KUDANSHITA and AZABUJUBAN will be closed for the New Year Holidays between Thursday, December, 31, 2009 until Monday, January 4, 2010 (reopening January 5, 2010).
PLEASE NOTE: Le Petit Tonneau in TORANOMON will close a day earlier, from Wednesday, December, 30, 2009 until Monday, January 4, 2010. Despite a five day closure period during this 2009 holiday season, please know that we await your return with excitement and impatience at one and all your favorite Petit Tonneau restaurants from January 5, 2010 onwards.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The KING'S CAKE "La GALETTE des ROIS"

Immediately upon the reopening of all three Petit Tonneau restaurants on January, 5, 2010, we will be serving the traditional French "galette des rois" (a scrumptious flaky almond-flavored tourte/pie) for dessert. This dessert, primarily served on the 1st of January of every year and whenever company is received in the household until the end of January (sometimes longer) is a French gastronomical "must" during the holiday season and until the end of January. Custom dictates we start enjoying the galette as soon as New Year's Eve. You can discover or have your friends/family discover/indulge in this fantastic traditional French New Year's dessert after January 6, 2010.
We will be offering a free glass of champagne to anyone who finds a "fève" in his/her piece of galette pastry (no worries; you won't need a dentist if you're one of the lucky winners!)

Autumn 2009 at Le Petit Tonneau
The fall is a perfect time of year to enjoy evenings out on the town with friends and colleagues basking in the refreshing post-summertime weather and relaxing before the holiday rush. Le Petit Tonneau will be hosting a "soirée couscous", a favorite dish among our regular customers.Don't forget to meet us "on the green" for Le Petit Tonneau Golf Challenge! Everyone is welcome to compete for the first prize trophy or to simply attend and have a great time creating new memories. *SPECIAL EVENT* - November ushers in the Beaujolais Nouveau season. Le Petit Tonneau will honor this annual event with an evening dedicated to this year's harvest of Beaujolais Nouveau. The evening will be held on the third Thursday of November, during which you can immerse yourself in the ambiance of authentic Parisian bistros. You can also choose to continue the evening with a gastronomic tour of the French Languedoc region, sampling the region's culinary delights and famous wine. Feel free to reserve your holiday events/meals as early as today. We are happy to accommodate your evening according to your BONENKAI (party) needs and budget. The 7th Golf Challenge Le Petit Tonneau to be held on November 3rd 2009.
The participation of nearly 70 golfers and the undeniable success of the latest edition of Golf Challenge Le Petit Tonneau, forcing us to reconsider the winner title AKASAKA DAISUKE. This competition is now inevitable reserved for golfers from beginners to professionals who do not take themselves too seriously. The awards and results will be announced at the event organized at the Petit Tonneau in TORANOMON during the evening. To do this we ask each participant to bring a gift (value one) to be distributed at the awards ceremony. (at the Petit Tonneau golf challenge, there are only winners) This 7th edition will take place Tuesday, November 3rd (public holiday in Japan) in the magnificent setting of the Eagle Lake GC golf course managed by Pacific Golf Management Group.

Thursday 19th November, Le Beaujolais Nouveau!
To quench your thirst and celebrate the arrival of Beaujolais Nouveau we expect Thursday, November 19 in the "Petit Tonneau". This year we are proud to offer you an exclusive label astonishing creation of the winemaker Michel Guignier. Available in our restaurants and online sales on our website. The estate of Michael Guigner is located on a granitic soil and bathed in sunshine. It produces a very beautiful gamay. You can enjoy the aroma of red fruits finishing on a peppery note. It is a wine to enjoy in all circumstances. ¥ 4,800 a bottle and glass ¥ 900. Cheers!

POSTPONED DECEMBER  Wine DINNER Languedoc
To continue our tour of wine regions of southern France, we offer for the month of November Languedoc area. The vineyards of Languedoc begins with the Greeks, who introduced the vine to the fifth century BC And like many other French vineyards it takes really flourished under the leadership of the Romans. The Languedoc Mediterranean was built 2000 years around the vine and its cultivation has also spread into the minds with the love of wine handed down from generation to generation through a variation of soils that are the specificity and richness of its wines. This event will take place at the Petit Tonneau in Toranomon. On this occasion our chef Philippe Batton, has prepared a menu in keeping with the wines. Places are limited be sure to book in advance.
